three raw images bracketed at -2,0+2
photomatix conversion
some tone mapping adjustment and contrast adjustment..
subtle really but if you look at the stock images the building was shadowed so... I kind of like the outcome...
any thoughts tips...C&C or feedback good or back welcome...

the first thing that comes to mind IMO is maybe a little more black to bring out the textures a little more and some way to lessen the chromatic aberration in the tree and powerline. I always find it difficult for me to decide between more black and/or more contrast. I have a tendency to over do my stuff, but with more practice and the help of POTN, maybe it'll come around some day!

ok..how do you do either of those. when I brought down the brightness the whole image went dark. or do you being it into CS3 and then work on the building on its own in the .tiff file after this... and what exactly is Chromatic Aberration...yes I will go search that topic to find out more...
thanks for the feed back... appreciated..

Yep, CS3 would be great or ACR .
Chromatic Aberration (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromatic_aberration)
Thought I'd take a shot at your image to see if what I was thinking
would work out in CS3. thanks in advance, I need all the practice I can get, haha!

1st I added a "selective color" layer, picked blacks and set to 47%.
next I selected just the sky, tree, and powerline with the quick select tool.
next added another "selective color" layer, picked blacks again, set blacks to +100, cyan to +100, and magenta to -100, now I select blues and set cyan to -100, magenta to -100, and black to -100, clicked ok.
now with selection still selected I added a "hue/saturation" layer, picked blue from the drop down list and set saturation to -100, clicked ok.
finally, reselected the sky, tree, and powerline, inverted the selection and used
"unsharpmask" set at 50,250,1 to just sharpen the buildings and this is how it turned out.
So I'm sure there are a 100 different, or easier ways to do this, This is just how I got there.

WOW... I thought my image popped out at me....now it looks dull in comparison..
Thank you so much for the explanation....very very helpful...I will try this later today when I get a chance. I have not played with selective color layers yet... I am going to see if I can even reproduce something similar..
Thanks so much...
