Well at least it appears that way. On a back road in Torringtion CT area.

Lets not forget the front of the barn. Wish the fence wasn't there, and yes the left side of the barn is also painted in a patriotic design.

cool shots, what about a subtle darkening down around the edges?

Great shots!
Thanks. Another one of those Connecticut suprises, drive down a back road you've never been on, come around a corner and there it is. :D

Thanks for the comment and suggestions, However I don't think that darkening around the edges will do anything to enhance the photo.

Thanks for the comment. This is what would be called a pseudo HDR 1 shot instead of 3 or more, I shoot in RAW format, after downloading to the computer I drag and drop the RAW photo into an HDR conversion program, I use photomatix (http://www.hdrsoft.com) I than do some tone mapping to my taste, save it usually as a JPG, you can save it out as a TIFF, I than open it up in my PP program, I use Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 (http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Product/1184951547051#versionTabview=tab0&tabview=tab0) to do any final tweaks and I also have a few plugins that emulate closely Lucas arts. Hope this explains it a little. Basicly it just experimenting tell you find something you like. :D
Here is the Right out of the camera shot No PP.

Thank you so much Marie. I have mixed feelings about the fence, but over all I do think it adds to the photo, I guess an old barn needs an old fence or two.:D

Bit of halo-ing which isnt good, but apart from that I like the shots.

Thanks for the comment. I really don't think the slight halo is a bad thing in this photo, I rather like it. I think it gives the barn it's own sense of aura and makes it stand out all the more, which is the main focal point of the photo.
