I was shopping in Costco this weekend and came across a portable steamer called the Tobi professional steamer. I've seen it advertised on TV before but was skeptical. However, knowing Costco's buying policies and the quality of products they carry, I decided to give it a try on two muslin backgrounds I purchased last week.
It took less than 5 minutes to put together and once filled with water was ready to go in about 30 seconds. I probably spent about 5 minutes steaming a 6' x 10' section of the backdrop. It was the first time I have used it so I'm sure I'll get better with practice. I was very impressed with the results. The price was $79.99 (94.99 minus a 15.00 instant rebate) and included a small travel steamer as a bonus. Here is a before and after of the black muslin. I'll post pictures of the other one later.
