I was so worried about lighting/backdrop, etc...that I never gave thought to the possibility of uncooperative subjects, LOL!

My 4yo was an ANGEL, but my not-quite 2yo was a beast, BEAST I say!
He wanted NOTHING to do with sitting anywhere near his sister yesterday.

Anyway, I managed to squeak out two (what I think are) decent pics of them separately. They are just for holiday cards, so they don't have to be spectacular.
Should I use them or torture the kids and myself one last time?

I am new to photography and PP, so if you could offer any tips/tweaks, I am listening. I was going to try and edit her hair that is sticking up, but again, they're just for holiday cards. Maybe try to match the reds a little better??

I was going to put Xander on the left side of the card and Samarah on the right with the greeting in the center...that way, they kind of look like the are "facing" the same way.

I used to work in a studio for quite some time and I absolutely hated Christmas season for just that reason.

It was a lot of work to get the little ones to cooperate that is for sure.

I had the exact same experience with my two last year. I only managed to squeak out one shot of each of them. This year, they were both in a wedding. I managed to get pics of them in their tux's when we were trying them on to see if they fit about a month ago. They were both so proud of how they looked, they sat very still for me. (oh the advantages of having a home studio!) I'm not even attempting the Christmas shot this year. It's funny that I can wrangle and photograph other people's children without a problem, but when it comes to my own kids... OH MY!!

Your children are beautiful and their individual shots came out great!

Wow what blue eyes your daughter has!! Cute kiddos. I had the holiday card from hell shoot today too. My youngest loves to pose for me but my 7 year old wants nothing to do with it.

These are very nice and I think they would be great for a card. I have a hard time with my daughter and she is almost 16.. I wish I could say it gets better all the time but sometimes it doesn't. they just do different things to make it harder. LOL Good luck..

haha! Those are great. I don't have kids but I can imagine how hard that would be.
