Took the cousins down to the river for a little shoot.
I would really appreciate some C&C
especially when it comes to:
Composition, photographer point of view, Exposure, Processing... etc
Thanks in advance

1, 5 and 8, with 8 being my favorite. They look like they're having fun there.

I really like 2 and 8. 2 has a great exposure and the color temp is perfect. 8 just captures a fun moment and doesn't look static. Her face is darker than his in number 5 so maybe you can adjust that.

Now the big question...are they "kissing cousins"? You said they are "the cousins". These almost look like photos of a dating or married couple. It's a fine line that I'm sure is hard not to cross when dealing with two people of the opposite sex.

haha no they are not kissing cousins.
im not really sure why you think they look married or like they are dating, but if that is the case i would like to know how to fix it in the future. I graze these forums a lot so most of my inspiration comes from married/engaged/family shots (dad mom and kids type stuff) so maybe thats the problem..... hmmm
thanks for the input.

anyone else?

These look great... You did a really good job!

as for them looking as a "kissing cousins" i'm guessing he thought that because you've posted pictures in a mostly "couple" type section of the forum? (wedding, engagement)

6 and 8 really show who they are. It really interesting because if your thread title didn't say anything you can still tell these two are just friends or cousins. Very interesting.

In 4 and 7, you cut off fingers. Go tighter or wider for those.

#8 is stellar, lovely series. great work! only nitpick is all the posing seems to be the same, but w/ cousins you're kinda limited :D

very nice work!
