First chance I've had to do some live concert photography...almost all shot with a 105mm f/2, but a few with the 17-50mm f/2.8. All C&C welcome since I'm new to this!

Yes, the number 3 is the best.

Despite the stock of the guitar being cut off I LOVE the emotion in 7! Thats my favorite.

Pretty cool series, but I would back off your sharpening a bit. The jaggies are pretty apparent. ;)

Great set, especially if this is a "first try".

Careful of the "clutter", watch for mic stands and other things that are in the way (#4 even though it is not the main subject it can be distracting & #5), and as mentioned above try to keep the headstocks in the picture (#7) and a little more of the guitar body (#6 & #7).

I really like the flare at the lips in #3, but think the red/yellow/green flare on the chin is a bit distracting.

#1: would have been very nice if focus were on the eye, instead of the horn (where I think it is now)
#2 & 5: Not my type of shot
#3: Mic a bit close to the head. I'd have preferred the light to be behind the head, but a coincidence like this (was it a coincidence, or was this what you were going for?) can be fun.
#4: Not sure why, but I like it, even with the bass player behind the music stand.
#6 & 7: Best of the bunch IMO.
