What a cutie and a ham. I just wish the black bd did not have all those wrinkles, my eyes kept being drawn to it.

These are all lovely -- she's a cutie. I like the ones against the white background better. Her hair and eyes are so dark that she gets lost a little bit against the black background.

thanks! I didn't completely black out the background because i wanted to make her look like she was grounded, as opposed to floating in the frame, but I still tried to darken it enough that it didn't distract. I guess I should have darkened all the way. thanks for the feedback!

Really great job,I do prefer the ones with the black background,it makes the red and white really pop.
I like the attitude in the fourth she could be saying "get on with it so I can finish my cell call".
My favourite is the last one.
Care to share the lighting setup.

My favourite is the last one.
Care to share the lighting setup.Hi sharon, I had a 430ex on a lightstand shooting through umbrella camera right, slightly above the subject and pointing downward. 580ex on-camera set really low for fill (bounce position w/ catch light extended). I believe I also had a reflector camera left next to the subject. The background is just a black blanket hanging down from a couple of my dining room chairs. Used photoshop to cut out the subject as a layer and then burned the background. also used the burn tool in photoshop to help blend the cutout layer back into the background. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!
