Stuff flying in the air in first shot is kind of neat - but ends up distracting the eye as it is right in front of the face. The second shot has good potential in my opinion though :) Just a bit more pp, perhaps exposure and levels and you are good to go!

Nice work. The 1st one I am not fond of the stuff flying in the air and he face is a tad dark.. Also be careful of cropping of joints, hands, feet, knees, elbows etc.. Also his eyes are pretty much dead center.. Try and come in a little closer and use some fill light to brighten him up. Cute boy....

The 2nd one is the best I think.. Maybe fill the frame a little more and get it so he is not as center in the frame however that is not bugging me so much in this photos. Needs a little PP and you will have a nice photo.. :) TFS!!!!!!!!!!
