I was reading shutterbug, eating popcorn, listening to music, on and off the laptop right by me, and drinking tea (now that is my idea of a Saturday night)when I saw the Lensbaby article. It talked about a Holga. So being the person I am, I looked it up. I found the sites they said to buy it from. This is a funny camera. It has a hot shoe!! Do they even make flashes for it? Educate me!!! (BTW, this would be for fun, not trying to get quality pics)

The specs on that thing remind me a little of my old Kodak Brownie. And only $17? It might be fun to experiment with. :) I haven't shot any 120 film in ages.
I really doubt they make a flash specifically for it, but you can probably use a generic on one there.

I think I'll wait for the Mk II version.
Really, though, that's just a sexier version of the camera I grew up with (Brownie Hawkeye). It didn't have a hot shoe, but it did have contacts on the side for a proprietary flash unit Kodak sold.
Basically, though, it was f/8 1/250 whether you needed it or not.

Is "uber sharpness" a problem for anyone? The manual is worth the read.
Heck no! You just never know when you'll be want to take a picture of an Uber. This sounds like the ideal camera for the job.

I didn't read the ad before I commented. Freestyle's marketing hasn''t changed!
AND THERE'S AN OPERATOR'S MANUAL!!! I love the introduction. Is "uber sharpness" a problem for anyone? The manual is worth the read.
Wow. And they give you quantity discounts. $15.00 each for four or more. $10.00 for 50-100. Maybe they'll pay me to drag the whole boatload of them away.
You bought one? lol

I'm impressed that it includes an "optical lens" as opposed to an ordinary lens.

Why not? I mean, if the camera stinks,-----

This might be just the thing for rugged outdoor shots. Reminds me of my first Kodak camera as a kid. Accidentally let go of it near the top of a hill. Rolled and bounced about 90 metres. Talk about grief and panic, but believe me, apart from dents and scratches to the metal, yes, metal body, film was ok and it continued to photos as before. Try that with your latest!
