Hi.

I've been lurking here for some time now and have been wanting to get into photography as a hobby and maybe more...who knows. Anyway, I got a canon A80 for my birthday just over a year ago and have finally started to "play" with it. Eventually I would like to purchase a really good digital camera providing I can develop some skill. I have some pictures I would like to post but, I cannot figure out how to compress the file small enough to upload here. They are huge...LOL I'm using PaintShop Pro 9. Any suggestions?
I even tried Shutterfly and Snapfish but apprently you cannot link to it. Thanks for your help.

Using Paint Shop Pro, you can open the image, then use IMAGE RESIZE. Leave a check in SMART RESIZE, LOCK ASPECT RATIO, AND RESIZE ALL LAYERS. Make the longest measurement (either width or height) 600 pixels. Makes sure you use FILE/SAVE AS to give the file a new name and save at about 30% compression.

That should give you a reasonable picture that's small enough for this forum.
