My young cousin was playing yesterday morning and I braved the cold to take a few shots of him and his fellow team mates. My cousin is wearing the red Man Utd 'Wayne Rooney' top.

Nice shooting. I love watching the younger players at any sports, they seem to be having the greatest fun.

This lens works very well for these captures, especially the bokeh in the last one. #9 is my 2nd favourite, The look of concentration on his face and timing was great on this one. It shows the essence of the game. .

I laughed at the one with the goalie putting his hands up over his face and turning away from the ball in #5. Did the player score the goal? http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

I still have a hard time calling anything with green grass as "cold", it's still white over here! http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/tongue3.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/tongue3.gif

#3 is excellent, why not try a tighter portrait crop on it. What is the goalkeeper up to in #5 :D

He sure did, the goalkeeper was replaced shortly afterwards :-)

Thanks for all your comments.

These shots are great. Well framed and nice action/expression on the childrens faces. They look like they were having a blast and you captured the energy of the game.

Excellent series, thanks for sharing, Paul! :D

The little "Red Devil" certainly has star factor in him!
