Yesterday's photo adventure was a failure, somewhat. I was given directions to an old graveyard where some trails lead to a river. Well, I found an old graveyard but the trails didn't lead to any river. Thankfully someone in an SUV came down the trail to confirm this. I was already at the point of giving up and turning and walking back to my car. I had been walking a good distance already. It turns out I am at the WRONG graveyard. Either way I took a 5 angle HDR panorama while I was there. I plan to find the correct one in the near future and hopefully find the river near by too.

Looks really really c c ccold Scott, NIce and that one little grave marker in the rear is sticking out of the big one in the front center, oops ;) or it is just an optical dillusion on my part :)

Nice work Scott. Nothing like that here. All our graveyards look like sardines in a can. :)

Oh my...didn't even notice that issue. Have to check this out when I get home. I may just clone it out all together.

Yup..like magic. It wasn't in the center exposure and sort of showed up from one the edges of the other exposures. Oddly enough, when I re-stitched this in photoshop using automerge it merged it differently and didn't' mess it up. The head stone was still there but I removed. The color was distracting from the rest of the head stones.

HDR and a stitched panorama in a single shot. You have way too much time on your hands.

But a fantastic shot. I would personally like the snow to be a bit whiter and less textured. But that is probably just my love for fresh, untracked powder. ;)

A very cool shot.

Scott, do you only use photoshop for stitching? Is it CS3 or 2? I ask because you take really good pano's and it's something I'd like to try, eventually. Just wondering what you're using to make these turn out so well, other than skill and patience. :)

Thank you very much.

woodsie i am the opposite. I like to see the texture in the snow :)

theague, for the most part CS3 does the job. If the shots are taken with lots of over lap, CS3 works pretty much 100% of the time.

I think I'm getting the reputation of being a nitpicker here, but I can't seem to find anything I don't like about this photo. Simply wonderful.

Scott:

This screams Album Cover for a Metal Band of some kind...

Way Cool!!!

It would definitely have to be a doom metal band, or possibly a black metal band. I can't see any power metal or death metal bands using this; it's too grim.

Yes, I'm a metal head :-P.

Thank you FP. You're right. Definite album cover potential.
