Before someone asks - dodged and burned in PS - the same as we "old folk" used to do in the darkroom to achieve this effect. Does it work?

Leica IIIc, Kodak BW400CN film.

Critique? Not a Canon image! LOL

Otherwise, I like the mood but it does rather look burned EXCEPT around the couple. Looks like too obvious a transition.

I like the idea/image quite a bit. What did it look lke before the burning?

I like burning it focuses the picture quite nicely

I really like the photo, but I agree, it is overburned. Can we see the original?
