We spent Thanksgiving visiting my sister in Huntington Beach...
So of course I had to take the girls down to play... They were not being very cooperative, so I didn't get any pictures for my Christmas cards, but we had fun just the same..
I just grabbed whatever I could get.... CC welcome and thanks for looking. :)

#4 & #5 are the best of the bunch IMO.
I really like the process and softness of #5 but the little one on the right is without a left foot?

Thank you... :) Funny thing is that shot was a little oof due to the motion.. I can't shoot motion to save my life... So I decided to just make it soft and dreamy... Simply an action called "Midnight Black", and tweaked a few things to my liking. I added a vignette blur to the edges.
You can download the free action here... www.atncentral.com (http://www.atncentral.com)

Thank you.. I appreciate the compliments... both on the shots and my girls. :)
These are absolutely gorgeous! #4 is for me! :)
Thank you... I like that one quite a bit also... the conversion worked nicely, just wish the highights in the left sky were not so blown...

Thank you. :) I love getting opinions... I think her foot is just lost in the sand.. the processing had nothing to do with it... it was just the position of her step, plus the fact that her jeans are a little bit too long... her foot is lost... but I agree it seems as she is missing a foot.... It's never perfect. lol... ;)
Here's the out of camera original, just resized and sharpened for web... so you can see the processing is not to blame. ;)

Thanks Carley... :) I love the journalistic nature of the walking shots...
I went in with zero expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised... especially since they were not dressed for a photo shoot. lol....
Last one: Gorgeous.
:) Thanks! I do like the soft colors in that one. :)

Good golly lady, you sound disappointed in those pics!!! If that's not cooperating, I can't wait to see the results when they ARE cooperating!! ;)

You are so funny. :) I do like the photos.. but you have no idea of what I have to go through to get them... lol... And my vision is always so perfect... so I have huge shoes that I must fill..
I do love these though, and I may end up using them for my cards anyway.

Yes!! The water was cold... and it was chilly outside... but they are kids, and when kids get around water... it just seems to draw them in. It was fun.. and we quickly set them in the sun to dry after an hour or so.. ;)

Thank you... It's so funny that that image is liked by so many. It is a little oof due to the motion.. and I almost trashed it. Glad I decided to just overlook it. :) I think the dreamy glow allows it to be softly focused... righ? lol.. :)

Thanks Phil.... I was looking all around for a Santa, but I came up with only a dead starfish... (that was purchased at a little street vendor at that).
I think I may end up using #4 as the front of my Chrismas card... I just need to figure out the layout and verse, and blah, blah, blah...

Thanks guys... :) It's so nice to get feedback from you all. And yes, I really do love #4 for some reason. :)
I think I'm going to end up building my Christmas card around these shots.. Now I'm off to search for some Vintage papers and brushes. :)

Thanks Maureen.. :) I do like that action on occasion.. I just always tweak it some.. but the glow effect is nice, with minimal effort. ;)
Did you post your image up on the forum? **off to go and check....**

Thank you sir... ;) You can play devils advocte anytime... I like the eyes pushed to the limit of sparklelyness (is that a word?) The originals were pretty sparkly due to the reflections from the water.. I just brought it out some. lol....

Thanks Heather and 1shot... I keep laughing because the last shot was almost thrown out... and so many people are liking that one.. The focus was not totally sharp due to the movement of them walking.. I can't shoot movement to save my life... Anyway.. the midnight black action did well to save it. :)
Awesome shots. I love #4 and 5. Great b & w.
Thanks so much! :) I do love how the B&W one turned out. I think that will be the front of my Christmas card this year... still working on a layout...

I do not want to play the Devil's Advocate too much... Then people will refer to me as D.A. :p
