These little guys are just starting to show their mating colors. They are harder to "sneak up" on than I thought! 10D with 100-400IS and 1.4 TC hand held. Enjoy

Gotta love that L glass! Great shot! I really need a nice zoom for my 10D - but may never be able to pony up for one with L glass! Looks like at best a 70-300 is in my future :(
Still using my S1 for the longer tele shots!

Little Birds are one of the Biggest Challenges there is in photography, I believe. Fast and small, always twitting (is that a word) from branch to branch . . . one has to be quick and ready. I suppose that target to acquisition time is around two seconds. Nice shots in the wild . . . hard to get them to show themselves out front.
