Newbie..another try

Ok....someone here was kind enough to instruct me as to how to resize a picture to post here. I have really been wanting to get into photography as a hobby and I received a Canon A80 just over a year ago for my birthday. I have been reading here for quite some time and finally got around to start playing w/the camera. Hopefully when I develop some skill I will buy myself a nice "big" camera :-) Anyhow...here are some pics....just looking for some constructive criticism/advice. Thanks in advance!

have you tried any cropping?
mayb a tighter crop at the top would give it a different feel. as it does seem bright at top center.

just getting into this game myself so i know what you mean about open to critiques.
