what cable do i need to connect this up to my pocket wizard.
i thought i had one lying around but dont. is this the type of cable i could pick up from almost anywhere?

Quarter-inch plug?

the one you get supplied with the pocket wizards dont fit into that hole. its smaller and a different connection altogether. Im think an adaptor type plug so i can still use the supplied cable and simply plug it into the adaptor then right into the strobe

RadioShack carries mono plug cables, the PW end is 1/8" can tell in the photo but looks like you need a 1/4 on 1 end and a 1/8 on the other, make sure you buy mono plugs on both ends

thanks, so it has to be mono, what if it was just the standard 1/4 - 1/8 stereo plug?

You need a short cable that has:
A mono (two conductor) phone plug (1/4" - 6.3mm) plug on one end
A mono (two conductor) miniphone plug (1/8" - 3.5mm) plug on the other end
Do NOT purchase any cable that is marked as an "attenuation" cable.

Phone plug (US) = Jack plug (UK)

thanks guys. yeah i seen the cable i need on your website but im sure i could get the same one local. ive actually just ordered a cable and foot for my 580ex speedlight from your site a few days ago. should be here any day now.:)
