I got to take some group photos of an Irish Dance group for their website yesterday.
As always, the candid shots were the ones I liked the best. The funny thing is that they were all camera shy, in fact, they hated having their pictures taken (especially the young lady in #1 and #2). But, I think they are all extremely photogenic.

Great shots. That's a lot of lens swapping. ;)

Thanks for the nice compliments guys. StoneyLonesome, you are right, they are all very cute and photogenic. I can just imagine what a master in a studio could come up with.
Oviv, you are CORRECT! That was alot of lens swapping for sure. I think at one point I muttered "damn prime lenses!" It really almost made me miss having a zoom. But it was very good practice I guess ;)
Andy, I too think the 3rd is my favourite. It's kind of too bad there is all that mess in the background, but again, it was only a candid, and not a posed shot so I don't mind too much.
JGbeam, thanks for the compliment as well :)

CmM, hehe thank you.
The shoe shot was a bit of fooling around. One of the dancers had placed his shoes by the door where I was, and I was bored, so I took the shot. I was actually very surprised & happy with the result.

Nice shots Drisley! Really like the one with the 135! What ISO setting were you using and how was the lighting? Did you use flash? Inquiring minds want to know??!! :)

Nice shots, Dris! The 3rd is really nice (she's quite pretty, too) ... also partial to the last two.

Thanks schmoelzel and HJM. :)
All shots were taken at ISO1600. I was using the 420 EX flash on the first 3 for sure, but really only as a fill flash with about -1 flash compensation.
The lighting in the first 3 shots was so-so. They were taken at/near the grand staircase at the local legislature which has a semi-transparent dome above.
I was getting about 1/200sec at F2 at ISO1600.
Btw, this building was apparently built 100 years ago by the Free Masons, and is supposed to have lots of references to the Great Pyramids (13 chambers, 13 lights in every room, etc). It's aligned perfectly N-S-E-W and lies on a spot that is suppposed to be very significant. A researcher is currently writing a book on this building saying that it may be the greatest piece of architecture in Canada.
Oh, also, all historic buildings in Egypt have 2 bulls guarding the entrance. This one has 2 bison (which represent the prairie bison) guarding the grand staircase.
Sorry to get on a rant, but this building is an amazingly beutiful place for photography, although the lighting is not the best.
The above pictures were taken on the staircase, and at the foot of the staircase you see here:
