Just a few pics taken with my 580EX II flash. C&C are much appreciated. These were taken with auto flash, mostly bounced (not directly up, probably around 5-10 degrees forward?). Would love to know how I can further improve my flash techniques. Thanks.

Good work with one flash. For the last photo, you might want to get another flash placed below to cover shadows on the guy in the cream tee.
As far as composition goes, first 2 photos have distracting background elements.
The last one..you could just crop out the bulb enclosure at the top of the pic. I like the last one.

These are quite good images, considering that they were taken with flash, because they don't seem to have much of the usual characteristics of flash pictures - such as, harsh shadows, extremely hot spots, and overly dark backgrounds.
Very nice!

Find some new friends?? LOL!!! Sorry...just kidding. My only nit here really is that it looks like your white balance may be off just a bit...the shots all look just a tich yellow on my monitor. Beyond that, they look really good. The only thing I can really think of at the moment to really improve these would be to use a diffuser instead of bouncing the shots or simply get the flash off the camera (i.e. use remote triggers and have someone hold the flash off to the side).
That is a lot of characters you have there.
Just my $.02 worth,
Jim

I was using flash for my white balance. I can see a bit of yellow in 3rd pic but that's mostly due to the fact the side walls were yellowish. Not sure about the first 2 pics...maybe it's cause by the tungsten lights? Any idea how I could fix that? Thanks.

The 3rd shot is spot on. Nothing is blown away and there is good separation with subjects and background. Bearing in mind you have whites and blacks this is really good.
Likewise shots 1 and 2 are great 'out-of-the-bag' exposures. If you did want to go further on shots 1 and 2, you might wish to increase the brightness of room background. This can be done simply by changing ISO and shutter speed, with no change to flash.... but it needs a bit of reading of articles posted in other threads.
