That's how long I've had my camera. I remember taking it to the restaurant where I worked at the time 'cause I was so excited...I couldn't just leave it there in the box! Since then I have snapped ~8000 pictures, shot 2 weddings and have been requested for 4 more, printed pictures for my family for Christmas, and much more. I'm looking into 2 photography programs for the next year, and the director of the program I'm enrolled in this year has approached me about a 1-2 year developmental internship involving photo/videography and website design. I'm hankering for a DSLR and looking to keep learning and developing this intrest. So yeah, this photography thing has really taken off, I have no idea where it's going to lead but I"ve enjoyed the ride so far.

Over the year this forum has served as a wealth of information and teaching, I can't believe how much you guys have taught me. Pekka and CDS and Belmondo and Scottes and DocFrankenstien and 4walls and and and...a big kudos to the whole lot of you.

Congratuations! If people like your work on a G3 imagine what you're going to be able to do with a DSLR... :)

You should look into the 350D, would make a great introductory DSLR and will give you so much more quality and control, not to mention introduce you to the world of lenses. Your one of few lucky people to gets ome good breaks, so keep it up and you will be successful.
