I have to hand it to this forum. It never crossed my mind to stack teleconverters. Today I added a Kenko 7 element 2X TC to my Canon 1.4 on to my 100 to 400 IS.
I thought it wouldn't be very sharp, but the results exceeded my expectations. Comments appreciated. Mark

Nice work once again Mark . . . you are breaking new ground. Now I will have to try this. Bob is the only other I am aware of that stacks this way. Good work.

Those are excellent. How far from the birds were you with that setup?

Stan, they were about 50 to 60 feet away. I was using a tripod with ballhead but not tensioned, with the IS on.
