Right time - right place - Staggering Sky in Greenland!

Wow! The couple who took these photos, the Alexanders, 'happened' to be northwest Greenland when the sky turned into Armageddon! The story says the sky lasted for an hour then dissolved.

That is really cool. I've seen clouds similar to that once before. A friend of mine had a little Kodak disposable and probably used up the whole roll on the sky.

I'm just wondering why their gear wasn't locked in a trunk about an hour's trek away!:D

I just think it's so great that photographers are so dedicated to their craft they'd be in Greenland in December. To have the skies perform has got to be a high point for them!

Amazing shots. What I like about them is that the foreground is correctly exposed, rather than the typical amateur shots where the sky is great but half the photo is completely black!
