just two quick snaps of my 13 year old at Rays MTB. His bag of tricks has really expanded this year and while I can still out boost him on the jumps, I think he's officially taken the lead on the tech stuff. At least I'll be able to shoot him even if won't be able to hang with him soon....

I like. I like.
The nice image of #2 got me thinking...What if you moved the flash to the camera's right to paint the shadow on the wall? I'd bet you could experiment with flash location and come up with some neat effect(s).
Show us more in the future. Very cool.

Scott,
Scanned your portfolio and you have some super shots of this type of cycling. I asked you to show more... ... ... amend that to "show us lots more!"

Thanks everyone, really nice to hear. Z, I'll throw a few up this morning after a meeting I have. I am definitely going to be at the S&M event so email me beforehand and we can make a point of hooking up there. I need to get a multi light setup going for sure in there. Seems like I just get lazy and would rather ride than shoot when I am there.
Notice anything familiar in my avatar? Not my son that time but its me getting a three down on the RedBull. That thing scares to crud out of me every time I hit it.

looking at your portfolio, we have a few things in common.
we're both bike-riding pheasant hunters!
i'll be sure to shoot you an email before i head out there. do you live nearby or are you staying in a hotel?

I was there last fall with for a private event and got to ride a bit. I ride a lot of dirt and usually don't shy away- but the combo of the pedaling your butt off railing the berm, then being out of breath as you go up the face had me taking a few runs before I got comfy. Once you get past those few white knucklers it's a blast!
I like the fakie shot.

I like the fakie shot.thanks man. first time he hit it, I had no idea he was even thinking about it. I caught him out of the corner of my eye and realized he was hauling so he clearly was going for it. the dad in me freaked a little but the rider in me was stoked. I wonder if I was around at that private event. I go to most of those kinds of things so who knows? Are you buds with WCH by chance? Lemme know when you are coming back out.
