Here are some random shots I took this morning/afternoon during a trip to DC, I've got a lot more coming (this is the first batch processed).

One of the new Blue Line trains coming into Smithsonian station. Note the escalator in the background.:)

Vertical goodness on the Metro. I love how sharp my Tamron 28-75 is, this was the first "field test" I've made with the new copy.

A random kid on the train.

Playing around a bit with oversaturation, I'm thinking I'm going to turn this into a political ad for my photo-illustration assignment, something about Free Speech Zones.

One of my favorite places in DC, the District's memorial for its First World War vets. One of these days I'm going to spend the entire day there, experimenting with the light.

The Korean War memorial. I had to do quite a bit of work with this one to get the etched faces to pop against the background; the daylight was so strong you couldn't see them in the original.

A different perspective on the Jefferson Memorial, across the Tidal Basin.
