i went to the La Arboretum today, snapped a few photos. let me know what you guys think? :)

I like them both. The B&W pick really captures the mystery of orchids.

In the color shot, I like the way you have depth-of-field surrounding all the flowers yet still blurred the background, and I like the angle of the light on the stalk. You could have shot a little higher and caught the top bulb

Very nice!!! What lens(es) and camera did you use for your shots? I love the black and white one especially. I agree on the color one that it would have been nice to capture the top bud also.

thanks a lot for the comments, i didnt even see that the top one was cut off..:)

if you live in LA they have an arboretum, near the sta anita race track, it has a tropical greenhouse thats full of different kinds of orchids.

Marvinspu36: im using a canon d30 with a 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 II, did the black and white in photoshop using channel mixer.
