Bought first DSLR just three weeks ago. I'm greatly intrigued by HDR, still can't bring myself to buy the software though. (I'm broke thanks to this new obsession).
I've enjoyed everyones pictures and comments and suddenly feel brave enough to post my little beginning efforts. C & C welcome of course.

First one looks good, but there is haloing in the second.

Yes your right, I hadnt noticed that. Frankly i was too concerned about the wind moving the branches through the different exposures
I've appreciated and enjoyed your responses in this section, thanks. Heres one more that seems more typical, though I think im more conservative in my processing

That one looks good too. Haloing comes from setting the Light Smoothing too low, that's the one with the 5 radio buttons. Usually you get no halos by moving it to #5 or #4 on the right. :)

I am so jealous of all the members living in those beautiful scenic areas. So many great landscape opportunities to photograph. What a view; I could see myself just sitting there looking out enjoying a morning cup of coffee.

1st one reminds me of a buddies cabin on a lake in Southern Indiana which had a rope swing where you jump off the deck into the water, great!
2nd one reminds me of how freakin cold it's getting!
3rd one, well, I'm just going to have to ban you from the forum because of the business
you captured in the background, I did 9 years with them. hahaha good shot.
