Why don't we have a "Introduction / Introduce Yourself" section? ???

Because we encourage new users to jump right into the forum's community.

The feeling is that if new users are given a "newbie" section, they may not feel confident enough to leave it. More experienced users here also won't go there, so the newbs won't benefit from the critique.

That's what I was going to say!

Heck, with the new forum layout there are even more places I don't go so a newb forum would head that list!

Hi Guys....
This is Shankar , from Sydney Australia,
I was just looking at this canon us website and found that they offering some classes,

do we have similar classes in Australia...

I have recently got my canon 40d and started playing with it ...
but would like to sign up some classes to learn from the gurus on the different aspects

do we have any forum in Sydney, where i can be part of ?
if so what are the costs involved ?
