Hey all Im an artist, focusing in Handblown Glass. Been doing it since 1996. I had a PC problem and lost all of my work, then I got mad at my medium and took a break from it.

Well I have been at it again, and I want to set up a light box to shoot my work.Playing with fire and glass=a fun time.

I use to give my work to a friend and he would take the pictures. He had nice lights and a very nice backdrop(bedsheet:rolleyes:) it was nicer than just a sheet though.:D hehee

Any suggestions for me? Would like to keep it inexpensive, please. But show me both. I have looked online and there is just to much to choose from.

My work is at its biggest 3ft square. I have taken a class on how to light the glass, but any other tips are welcome. :D Backlighting works great on some things, mostly transparent stuff. But I find it harder to take opaque shots as I get lots of reflection.

Thanks all.

Liked your pun in your first paragraph - "...took a break..."

I only have experience with clear glass & I think a light tent is what you may need for opaque stuff.

Glass is interesting to shoot. Have a wander through here (http://www.flickr.com/groups/84897717@N00/) for some ideas.
