I was just checking prices for the SX10, and found one here for $295.
http://www.zoommania.com/descript.asp?prodid=23lence#keyfeatures
They also have an adapter listed. I was waiting for Lensmate to make one. This one only supports 58mm filters though. Will the SX10 be able to use 52mm filters? I've got lots of 52mm filters and lenses for my S2 52mm adapter...it would be a real shame if I couldn't use those on the SX10 as well. That might end up being a deal breaker for me.

$295 is pretty low. I paid $349 a few weeks ago. I would do some research on the seller before shelling out the dough.
I doubt that lens adapter would fit on the SX10. It does not have the same mounting ability as older Powershots. The lensmate adapter will take 52mm filters, but as you said, it is not out yet. I am also on the waiting list.

I'm headed over to Best Buy in a few minutes to check out the SX10. They've got it on sale for $359 right now.

Check out Zoommania's low ratings and complaint list at www.resllerratings.com and I don't think you'll be considering them as a seller. Bait & switch operation.

I thought it sounded a bit too good to be true. When I got mine at BuyDig.com a few weeks ago, that price was with free shipping. I thought it was a good deal. I have dealt with BuyDig a few times for cameras and lenses and have never had a problem.

I received mine yesterday from Amazon (2 day delivery, no shipping or tax costs). I paid $335. I thought it was a good deal. $295 is better, but I trust Amazon -- they have pretty good customer service. Sometimes it's worth paying the extra cost for some peace of mind.

I just looked my transaction up. I was incorrect about what I paid. The price was $339.95 when I ordered it and that dropped to $344.95 (where it still is) the next day. BuyDig.com reimbursed my account for the $5. Zell, this was no shipping and no tax too. Sometimes it is hard to deal with a local store.

Wow, Zoommania has about the worst reviews I've ever seen. Thanks for that heads up! It sounds like the $359 price at my local Best Buy might be the cheapest option, considering no shipping cost.

I bought my SX10 about 5 weeks ago on ebay using the live.com cashback deal (30% at the time) plus got another 10% off with ebay's fall savings coupon on checkout.
I ended up paying only $219 shipped.

Filter??? It won't take filters. Those aren't threads on the front of the lens, they're concentric grooves for the lens cap to grab on to. You might be able to crossthread a filter onto them but it won't be optically parallel and will probably fall off when you least expect it. Lensmate is working on a filter adapter but they haven't announced it yet.

Yeah, I have my name on a waiting list at Lensmate.com to be notified when their adapter comes out. They claim it will allow the use of52mm filters.

Buy.dig has a good reputation and that's a great price. You've taken some great pictures with your SX10. I'm looking forward to Christmas morning. I pulled it again last night to show my 16 year-old son who is into photography as well (he's on the newspaper staff at his HS). He has a G6 that I gave to him a few years ago as a gift for achieving his Eagle Scout award in Boy Scouts. He was pretty amazed at the camera.

The filter holder from Lensmate (http://www.lensmateonline.com/) has been delayed slightly because of quality issues with the intended 52mm filter. Instead they are now making the filter holder 58mm and it will screw on exactly like the lens hood.
