Payed a visit to my good friends, the Firefighters of Cartago.
Want to re-shoot some day. What do you think of these?

The only one that seems a bit off to be is the second last one....sorta blurry (his face) compared to the other ones.

I like the first one a lot. My mum would like it too... heh but not from the photographic standpoint.

yes...that was just before noticing I was shooting at f/4.5 !!! :oops:

Love that first shot. Would only be improved if the guy close to the camera had a similar expression to the other guy.

these are tack sharp dude... considering 18-55
did u make extreme sharpening with any software?
#1 is my favorit

Great shots. That is a Huge Tanker. The Rigs look quite a bit different from what we see here. I would love to see more. Let me know (PM) if you would like some pictures to show the guys down there and I will get them to you. They might find some of our fires and rigs interesting. Or just do a search here on the Forum for some of my Fireground pictures.

Thanks folks, for your comments. I quite like them myself. Thought of going BW, but...losing the red...nah !

Someone asked for serious expressions...how's this?

Personally, I think that harder expression tells a greater story of hard work

Beautiful shots!

Expecially like the expression on the last one, though it's a bit dark.
Also, you can't immediately see that they are standing by a fire engine, as the crop is rather tight.
