I use a Transcend 8gb class 6 SDHC card =)
I bought it via Newegg.com for $15 shipped and it came with a free card reader ... as far as I'm concern the transfer rate is very fast
same/possibly even faster than the more expensive sandisk extreme III

it also have a life-time warranty

My bodies don't use SD, however my father is using my 4Gb card in hid 450D/XSi body - So I've just ordered him the following for around $18;
http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/3439747/SanDisk-Extreme-III-4GB-SD-HC-Memory-Card-With-MicroMate-Reader/Product.html

It's only 4Gb but seems Ok.

I've not used Transcend myself but a fair few people seem to use that brand, damned good price mind.

I've been using a Kingston 8GB class 6 card in my MkIIN for 4-5 months and my 3 8GB Extreme III's just came in yesterday. $90 for 3 of them, then $70 pre-paid Visa rebate. $20 all in. ;)

There was some great prices last weekend on Sandisk cards.

I bought 2 Sandisk Ultra II 16GB SDHC cards to use in my MKIII's for backup. I don't plan on downloading them often enough to worry about the slower speed.

I'm using a 4GB Patriot SDHC card in my 1D MK II as 911/backup. It works good so far but I'm still looking for a reader for it :(

Do they made multi reader that can read CF cards and SDHC?

When I was using SD cards, I was using a few SanDisk Extreme III 4gb and some Panasonic Class 6 8gb cards..

I'm using a 4GB Patriot SDHC card in my 1D MK II as 911/backup. It works good so far but I'm still looking for a reader for it :(

For a card reader that reads multiple types of cards, try one of these from Dynex (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8328464&st=memory+card+reader&lp=3&type=product&cp=1&id=1174694369679). I bought one over 2 years ago and it's still working perfect. It reads CF, SD, Micro SD, and more. Well worth the money IMO.

I got a Sandisk Extreme card reader. Reads SDHC and CF only. I'm not sure if they still make it or not. I paid about $25 for it last year.

Thanks for the info on Dynex...the open box ones are very cheap and they are everywhere, $7 on ebay freeshipping :)

I mostly use Sandisk and PNY, though I do have an Impact 1GB card that I use on occasion with my camera (mostly use it in my Palm). I also have a 4GB RitzPix SD card (though this is labled as RitzPix by Sandisk).

I have never had any problems with Sandisk or PNY. Before getting the PNY SD cards I basically used only Sandisk flash memory (Thumbdrives and SD cards), for computer memory (RAM) I have mostly used PNY's RAM modules. So both companies have my business, they are both reliable and trouble free (at least they are for me).

I use the PNY SDHC in my G9 and my wife's XSi, never had any issues with any of the PNY cards. The other night I picked up a Rocketfish card reader for CF and SD cards at BB, pretty nice little reader.
