I got tickets to the Big 12 Championship in KC tomorrow. I want to take my xTi with me with my sigma 24-60 2.8 on it. I have a small backpack so the bag size shouldnt be a problem. But when i checked their website, and this is what they said they didnt allow:"• Video cameras or professional cameras/lenses".
My question is, can i bring my camera into the stadium?
Any experience with Arrowhead would be helpful.

Thanks alot guys!

The last I knew anything with a lens over 4-6 inches they consider "pro", however I've had friends get 300 2.8's in under their jackets. Its just a toss of the dice though on the ticket taker you get. Some of them wont say a word, some of them wont let you bring anthing in they believe to be "pro" equipment.

If I were you and I didnt mind the jog back to the car if it doesnt work, I'd bring the rebel with your 18-55 on it, it looks small so they probably wouldnt say anything. Then you or one of your friends shove your 75-300 in another pocket or bag and hope they just dont say anything. With good light you will get decent shots and reach with your 70-300.

Well i have been to OU games where they let me in with my 18-55 attached to my body, and my 75-300 in my bag, and all they did was look through my bag. But now that it is in an NFL stadium idk how much different it will be.

exactly, the rules are pretty much the same. I'd say you've got about an 80% chance of getting in, but you could always run into that one ahole. The worst case is a walk back to the car. I'd just get there way early so you've got time.

Well, i got in. I snuck my 75-300 in stashed in the bottom part of my small camera backpack. They simply checked it, and let me on my way. We scored some sweet seats in a heated box, and my team won. Thanks for the help guys and here are some shots.

Nice nice... Ya i have alot of experience with NFL stadiums. Only trouble i have had at any stadium is Oakland. And i only went to that stadium to say i had been there. i have been to 12 other stadiums in last 2 years no problems.
