Finally there where some aurora. But it was weak.
The first image was taken with my Canon EF 28mm@2.8
Never used this lens at night, but it seems good. 20s with ISO 1600
Number 2 is a panorama from 7 images. Used my Canon EFS 10-22mm. I know it is overexposed but I really like the colors so I wouldn't change it. You can feel free to try to correct the exposure without loosing the colors :)

I love the second one. The lake gives it scale and shows just how impressive the aurora is. Both pics are great.

I know the house lights are not making the image. But since the aurora was weak last night I had to use 20s to get good enough light. And I think the colors turned out nice.

Thank you

Wow! Just WOW! :)
Thank you. It is very nice to look at the aurora when it moves quickly over the sky. These where the slow moving kind and very weak. But I still love looking at them :)
Amazing pics, what a opportunity to see and shoot this. I wish i can go one day.
It is very well worth a trip to Alaska or Northern Scandinavia/Russia to see this

It is well worth to book a trip. But you never know how the weather will be like. So you might have one week with just looking at the hotel wall.
The aurora predictions are very good now. But you don't have any control of the weather
WOW  ! Stunning images !
Thank you

I could try to clone it out when I feel for it ;) Look at this tread where I also removed the disturbing lights, it's on the 2nd page:

Aurora must be a woman since it/she is so beautiful. And Mrs since it's such an old natural phenomena :D
