Does anyone know what the maximum GB sd card the SD 600 takes?

I dont think it will take SDHC>.. i thought i tried it once... Didnt work For sure 630 wont take SDHC (well the sd600 with the 3" screen)

2 GB. It doesn't support SDHC, so my wife gets all my "small" cards for hers as I move to 4 GB SDHC.

It's a shame I have to return the 8gb sdhc card. It was only $9.99.

When I had my SD600, I used a 4GB SD (not SDHC) card with no problems.

You were lucky. Manufacturers got 4 GB SD cards to work by playing tricks on the SD design standard; sometimes the equipment you had would work with the "gamed" designs, sometimes it wouldn't. In any event, a typical 2 GB SD card will hold something over 1000 Large Superfine JPEGs, or 16-18 min. of video (which means at least 2 clips; the 1 GB video clip limit works out to around 9 min. in my experience) and the cards are small enough that the biggest risk of carrying multiple cards is losing one of them.
