I am looking for a Case big enough to store and travel with to carry all my Studio gear. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I am thinking a 4 wheeled hand truck that stands up or lays down to move it with. But as of yet I can't find anything suitable to pack everything into.
Maybe a case in about the 60" x 24" x 24".

I bought a Stanley wheeled tool storage chest- plastic exterior but nice and spacious. I'll get a link to the model. Bought it for $60 or so.

Thanks. I like that one but I am not sure if it would be big enough or wide enough to carry background stands and such.

I can fit my Bogen stands that came with my studio lights, but not my background kit. that has it's own carry bag. The normal stands are 39" long.

OK, so if you're in Utopia, with gear envy, check out all the different rolling cases John Harrington uses. Play the various videos for the stands, pack and heads, etc.

Thanks for all the ideas. Without spending $500 or so which would be half all the cost of a good lens or money towards a new camera body. These will work great. Like the previous poster mentioned his background kit has it's own bag.
So I could use the Stanley Box to keep the light heads, modifiers and other bulky things safe and dry. Then use the Duffle type bag for stands and tripod. Maybe my wife can make some sleeves for the stands to keep them from getting scratched up.
I have another bag for my Camera and portable lights. That way everything can be in my truck and I will only need to pull out what is needed.

You could also check in to a Pelican Case. They can be found on ebay. They are a hard case like a suitcase, and filled with foam. I use 2 for my lights, I carry 3 lights in one case and 2 in the other, umbrellas, stands, I use a stand bag, and backdrop stands have their own bag.

Yup- works for me. I have a bad that I use for oversized stands, fits 2-3 of those, plus the 2-5 that could easily fit in the stanley. I currently carry the 2 that came with my D-lite kit in the stanley.

Sorry, she got them from the Goodwill Store. BTW she also finds some neat clothes, boots, hats, etc. for models there. Usually name brand too.

Cool, great deal! I might have to make some rounds at the thrift/pawn shops and see if I can snag a decent case.

Look at golf travel bags (http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=2274069) or hockey equipment bags. (http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=694201)

Someone i know bought it dirt cheap when photoflex was having floor sample sale last month. It can hold lot of stuff. Only issue gets heavy.

I just prefer to have a solid case for my expensive gear. I'd hate to crush a Dlite :(

Very heavy. My Transpac has been referred to as "the coffin" by other photogs I shoot with. The front handle broke the other week. Not sure if I want to get a replacement handle, or try to modify if for some mil-spec type handle. I really like how the two halves open up when on site, you have all your stands, umbrellas, etc (easily four stands, four umbrellas and a tripod) on one half and the other side with covers and dividers for lights and accessories.

Are you talking about the Photoflex? If so, the sides are all rigid. The fabric is a little loose in the photo on B&H

rigid plastic with a cloth cover? If so, that would work. Just not sure how much other gear you could put in that. I have extra extension cords, stands, reflectors- both flexible fabric and the rigid that go on my D-lites, spring clips, etc. also need to throw a box of wet wipes in there for dirty bare feet.
