One of many seen breeding today. From the Ellsworth Watershed in WA, a Nature Conservancy project which has protected the entire watershed as a research area...

No idea if they are hard to find ... never had a problem these last few months finding these guys. It's the tailed frogs I'm having a hard time finding.

What I meant was (I think), most of us don't go looking for newts.
