Quality different between 300D & 1DMKII

Those are the first time that I went on trip with DSLR instead of MF.

Did anyone see the quality different between 1DMKII w/L lenses and 300D with 85mm f1.8? Personally I can see the different and it difference a lot.

One more thing, I also found 1DSMKII has more creamy picture (more DR) than 1DMKII.

Is my eye or brain has problem?

What do you see? Hard to tell anything from resized photos.
Also, is it 1DS Mark II or 1D Mark II?

Those pictures were took by my previous 1DMKII and 300D.

Yes, it is hard to see the differences in scale down picture. But in the original raw file, I can easily see the different of texture, colour, sharpness.

I know it is not fair to compair between these 2 camera. But they were just happened to be there.

Hi Hk,

yes you will see a difference, I would be surprised if you didn't. You are using two different chips, with different signal to noise ratios, different colour spaces, and to all intents different lenses (the 300 using more of the sweet spot than either the 1ds or 1d)

It would be more amazing if you said they were the same

I gald my brain is OK (not my perception of the price different between these 2 camera).
But I also can see the different between 1DSMKII and 1DMKII. The first time I received the 1DSMKII, I was supprised the difference. 1DSMKII's picture is creamy and shaper than 1DMKII.
