Hello,

I'm a absolute beginner in post processing images and have a few questions for the specialists of this site.

In PS Elements 3.0 we have the "Auto Smart Fix" tool and in many cases it does just the things i need most of the time.

Can someone please tell me how i can apply "Auto Smart Fix" to a series of selected pictures in a folder?

I can work whit the "Process Multiple Files" command but the results are very pour
and not the same as with the "Auto Smart Fix" tool.

And when i work with the "Process Multiple Files" command the pictures are resized to a unacceptable format.
A 4 MB files becomes about a 300 Kb files. I don't understand why this is happening and why i loose so much pixels of my images.

Is there information available somewhere of what the "Auto Smart Fix" tool in PS Elements exactly does with an image?
Wich adjustments does it apply to pictures and can i set those manualy in the "Process Multiple Images" command?

Thank you in advance and greetings from Belgium, Salleke.

Hi Selleke - You can select multiple images then select Auto Fix which will open the Auto Fix window with the multiple images loaded, but you still have to apply the Smart Fix for each one. I don't use these tools but the only automatic way seems to be using the Process Multiple Files you mention.

I can work whit the "Process Multiple Files" command but the results are very pour and not the same as with the "Auto Smart Fix" tool.

I've found that the only way to get acceptable results is to process each image individually - they're all different so what works for one doesn't seem to work for another. Not for me at least. :)

What type of files are you starting out with? What file type do you tell PSE3 to save the altered images as?

You got me on that one. Here's another forum you might be able to get more answers on PSE3 from. http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/
