I really hope I am not making a wrong post this time.
I have three images in following link, RAW, jpeg which I shot in RAW+jpeg mode & a 100% crop from TV screen.
http://www14.plala.or.jp/rajkaori/
Does the crop looks noisy to you also ? Is this noise ? color noise ? what is it .. ?
I have shot these images at iso 100 in aperture priority, f8, 1.6 sec exposure, 34 mm focal length without flash & would have expected image to be totally clean. I also set the WB to indoor light (bulb icon on 20D's top display)

Also, I see vertical lines on the TV screen in image "image" shot under similir conditions.

Can somebody please help to explain this.

Sorry for being a continuous bugger :-(
& thanks for your help in advance ...

PS: EXIF data for images is intact.

Pics are too big to download (at least for me).
Maybe post some crops of the trouble versions.

Best regards,
Andy

OK I am attaching crops here
#1 is where I see repeated lines on tv screen
#2 is crop from 100% tv screen portion I think has noise which I wouldnt have expected
I wonder if there is something wrong with my settings which is causing this.

#1 is moire or diffraction from the masks for the picture tube. You're likely to see noise in underexposed areas of any picture but in this one it may be hard to distinguish noise from what's being reflected by the front of the CRT.

I think it is Moire from the mask, as Jon said.
