Reaching out to other wedding pros:

What's your "average" album these days?

- How many pages?
- Page dimensions? (e.g. 8x10? 12x16?)
- What finish/paper are you using?
- Flush mount or Continuous Binding (a la GraphiStudio and some others)
- Cover Options?

And are you selling cut-down sizes for family members?

What's your average margin (2x, 5x, ??) and is it going down or going up or staying the same in the current market?

Latest numbers for me:

- Averaging 90+ pages
- Printing mostly 10x10 square or 10x13 vertical
- Printing mostly GraphiStudio's laminated metallic paper, which is continuous binding
- Most who are going with GraphiStudio are opting for their transparent cover, but a couple Cowhide/Leathers are coming through too.
- Yes, selling lots of mini versions (6x6/6x8 for parent books)
- Margin is running about 3.5-4x on albums. But some of that cost includes me tossing an occasional extra copy on there as a studio sample when I get a particularly good one.

36 pages (ranges between 20 and 60, 60 is the max QB can do), 14x10" landscape, 80% matted 20% pagemount/digital, 50% black imitation leather, 40% black leather, 10% other. 50% of people get parents albums, from me they're exactly the same design as the feature album, but smaller - 5x7" usually. Margin i'm not posting, but we're not quite as affected by the downturn here so i'm not noticing much of a difference.

Tim,
Thanks for posting. I know pricing/margin is a very personal thing, but this forum seems pretty open with people posting their pricing and asking others for how to price, etc.
