View Full Version : Can the Canon HV30 be mounted on a tripod?

Any camcorder I had is able to be mounted on a tripod.
I was reading a review and there was only one reference to this camera not being able to be mounted on a tripod.

At the store, they have those security mounts on the bottom so it is hard to see.

Can anyone with a HV30 confirm it can be mounted on a tripod.
Thanks

Yes, I know, a very strange question, but as stated above I read a post earlier today indicating otherwise and since my camera is currently in the mail being shipped to me I was a bit concerned. Thanks for verifying.

Pretty sure that's my camcorder model. I mounted the tripod MOUNT to my camera so all I have to do is slip the entire camera and mount onto the tripod itself and lock into place. This made a lot more sense than remounting the camera each time.

I use the camera to record football games at night and in the dark for shopping my XXXLG son to colleges so the mounting strategy workds well.

It will mount to a tripod. Used a few from Manfrotto to Velbon so don't worry.
