looking for ideas on making a snoot for my alienbees b800's - dont want to pay the $50/snoot if i dont have to.
what did you use, do you have pix?

I don't have pix or anything, but a big sheet of black card, rolled into a cone shape and then tape to the light. But make sure modelling light is only on for a few seconds while the snoot is in use due to the fire risk.

a no parkin cone is the right shape and i was told easy to cut;)

If the subject doesn't move, then just cut a hole in a piece of cardboard & shine the light through it. The farther away you move it, the greater the effect.
