This is a photo of my horse 'Arty. I've taken it into Corel, worked on him with watercolour cloners and soft cloners and saved it. Then taken it back into CS and applied a pencil sketch action and saved it. I have then reopened it and put the colour one over the pencil one and adjusted the opacity and applied texture.

That's a very nice job. I would never have believed it started out as a photograph.

i love producing this sort of effect - but have not achived anything like this :)
when you say coral I assume thats software {coral draw} - I only have photoshop, I think I had coral supplied with a scanner or something graphical/photographic.

would you be able to supply more details on how you produced the effect - maybe an example of the start image.

Have you produced others I would love to see them

I would love to see the photo at each stage of the process... :)

Hi Ben,
I'll do my best. The original is scanned in from a photo, the next is where I have used quick clone in Corel and used a mixture of water colour wash, water colour run and texture cloners. the B&W is where I took the saved image of that lot into Photoshop and used a Pencil Sketch Action (It came with some software I purchased off 'Yervant' he's well known for weddings.
I then put the colour image onto the b&w image (or vice versa) in layers and reduced the opacity on an ad hoc basis. I think I erased part of his mane and tail to bring the colour through.
Finally I added texture, sandstone to the image.
Cheers
