Do the angles in these work?

I am trying to take photos with that angled look, not sure if I am over doing it. Do these work, or are they too much? Any other c&c welcome.

I think it does in the first one but not in the second one.

In the second one the tilt angle just makes it look cock-eyed to me, whereas in the first shot, had you not raised concern about the "angles", I doubt that anyone would have even considered an issue of "angles".

I agree -- the second one makes it look like the boy is falling over backwards.
