Nice looking wife and the lighting looks pretty good, but the backgound is a tad bit distracting. If you have fast lens, like 1.8 or 2.8, try shooting it close to wide open to blur out the background.

I think you over cropped some, she almost looks like a severed head. A very happy severed head though. :)

I knew the background was terrible on the first picture so I decided to crop out as much as I could.
