Some very nice shots jan
I liked especially.........
the shot of the buganvilla ferry with all the people spread out at the rails, under the string of lights (2821)

the old rusty tanker with the girl onshore sitting watching (2347)
(I can't believe that it is actually allowed to sail)
Maybe it is just drifting ..........
maybe they both are : )

the two men in shadows by the ships railings (2586)
and another 'shadows' picture.. lovely (2470)

beautiful sky picture, liked 2526

sand scene very nice (2578)
the grainy sand is not like the sand on most of our beaches over here, where it is much finer
(wonder is the sand imported over there, sounds crazy but it does happen in some holiday places )

lovely shot showing slabs of stone, but am not too sure if its a water inlet and not slabs at all (2802)

beautiful sky again (2526)
old green van under cliff top , liked it very much (2754)

sky just beautiful (2505 )
bottom seems cut out of the frame
but what is shown there already is lovely
Looks like a nice time was had by all

thanks

marie

Jan,
your photo's are beautiful. The colour is fantastic. 2364 is my fav.
What camera are you using? Any editing?

Thanks Marie, for your detailed remarks. I really do appreciate the fact you looked at the gallery, and your kind words.
I'm normally more into city pictures, so this week was a bit of a challenge to me. Afterwards I really liked it over there... most people just go over there to spend their time in typical 'fake' resorts and never leave them.

I tried to explore the inner parts of the islands and rented a small car , see this shot of this silly tiny little yellow car :)

I spent one day in Lanzarote (with the buganvilla ferry) , and that was a bit more poluted by tourists but also very nice.

One thing, I will never forget : the 'grave of the princess' - the old 'American star", once a cruiseship, now a dead element in front of the coast of fuerteventura. Here's another shot:

Thanks again for looking

Thanks for looking Colin,

I tried to look for 2364, but I couldn't find it in my gallery ???

The images are made with a Canon G2... just some auto-levels and unsharp mask + scaling. Except for the sunsets... there I added some noise.
Most shots are done with a polarizer.
