Since I am not exactly a maestro when it comes to photo shop, none of my pictures have any post production done to them. What would you do if they were your images? I started out doing all the PP in the darkroom not with Adobe. I never know where to start. I admire the intent of this forum and those artist minds who could help both with critique and adobe. (I am a student)

I guess I must have some type of leprosy. This was actually my first post and nothing for an hour. That either means two things...I am perfect or so bad no one wants to be mean. Much like the clothes I wear up here in Alaska...I have thick skin. Give it your best shot...C/C...cause it ain't perfect at all.

Well, to break the ice, I kind of like your BW picture as it is. I have no experience with post processing such night shots, but I would make sure that it is 'clean' when viewed larger. The look of the picture is ok for me. Perhaps boost your contrast a bit (or in Levels, slide the black slider a bit more to the right) and tone down the highlights a bit, but that is pretty much it.

For your first picture, look at crops and see if you can make your photo more interesting by using less elements.

Those would be the things I would do.

1. "Nothing for an hour"? Er... maybe if there was nothing for a DAY, but an hour? Patience, grasshopper!

2. You're permitted to post images up to 1024 px in the largest dimension. Posting bigger shots makes it easier to review them. The B&W for example may show an attempt to do light painting or just a capture of extraneous lights from vehicles or...? Too small to make it out.

Sweet. Thank you!
(the B&W is me running around with an LED and a speedlite popping the foreground. The other one...yes, is a bit busy.)
I will figure out how to upload larger formats. Appreciated the input either way ;)
