sd300 movie edit problem

Has anyone had this problem.

I'm trying to edit a movie on my SD300 by deleting the first 10 frames.
When I save the file, the frames are still there. I note that you can't edit a movie shorter than a second, does this mean you can only delete 15 or 30 frames at a time ?

BTW, when I emailed Canon about this they sent me a list of standard instructions which just confirmend that I was doing the editing correctly. They also stated that I should be able to delete a frame at a time. When I told them that this doesn't work and that either their documention is misleading or that my camera is faulty, they continued to ignore me - even after several follow-up emails.
