My telescope and camera adapter arrived yesterday :D

I looked everything over yesterday to make sure everything was ok. Its going to be a christmas gift for my son so I put everything back in the box. Today however I decided to hook up the camera to the tube and take a few shots. The mount/tripod is still in the box so I just used the tube handheld out the back window. Handheld @ 400mm manual focusing isnt easy but I have to say. I like what Im seeing so far haha

First shot right off the camera only converted to JPEG in LR.

He He.:D Is this like getting your wife a bowling ball for her birthday?;) Funny thing is that I used this same scheme many years ago to get started in astro stuff.

At least you made your bed, your wife will be proud!

On a real note, my son & I have spent many hours out under the stars so it is a great gift.

Well he has been asking for a scope for a few months now and i figured that if I get one that I can use also, Im killing 2 birds with one stone :D
