Very nice set. The C5 at rotation is one for the archive!

Very, very nice! Anyone know what variant that C-130 is?

I'm guessing the humps and bumps will make it an EC-130 of some kind. Maybe kinda early since it doesn't have the scimitar props(?)

Nice pics, agree on the C-% rotation being a wallhanger.

M stands for MEAN :-)

I always liked... Marine Chit. Seeing how it is a special ops variant maybe it is something along the lines of Multi-Mission Capable. To tell you the truth I have no idea what the M stands for.

Nice shots of the Talon.

Bowtie is correct. M stands for Multi-mission. Most M designated aircraft are Air Force Special Operations Command aircraft. I spent two years in AFSOC at RAF Mildenhall and our Special Operations Group (352nd SOG) flew the MC-130H Combat Talon II pictured above, as well as the MC-130P Combat Shadow, C-130E, and MH-53J/M Pave Low helicopter. The multi-mission designation also covers UAVs such as the MQ-1 Predator, MQ-9 Reaper, etc. These are the Hellfire missile armed versions of the UAVs. The original RQ-1, RQ-9, etc are unarmed recon versions.

Nice pics, BTW!

I love this place! :)

Thanks for the comments everyone.
And as spitfirejd has said the aircraft (Herc) is a Combat Talon 11 from the 352ND SPECIAL OPERATIONS GROUP.

Dont wanna hijack the thread, but this Herk is much cooler than the Talon II. Taken from the same location as the other pics.

I take it you took them from spy corner on the back side of RAFM. It's not quite Mildenhall, not Beck Row either. Definitely not Hollywell Row either as that is heading over to Lakenheath. Perhaps West Row? It has been more than a few years since I was over there. I miss England a lot, and was over there for 3 years.

Brings back lots of memories!

We were also stationed there for 3 years. We got back a year ago. I never thought I'd say it, but I do miss it! It was a good base.

Nice captures, and thanks for the trip down memory lane!

I along with many thousands of Brits miss the Mildenhall Air Fete, best Airshow ever held in the UK.
The aircraft, (the beer), the flying, (the hotdogs), the display teams, (the burgers), the sunburn, (the beer) the rain, (more burgers), oh happy days and all that slidefilm.
